Since 1992, Aqua Drill pioneered pre-operational cleaning of piping using only high pressure water. Aqua Drill’s Engineering team has developed the most advanced water-jet cleaning technology, the Aqua Milling® Process, for pre-commissioning of piping prior to plant start-up operations. The proprietary technology is exclusively used by Aqua Drill International.

The Aqua Milling® method can clean piping in sizes from 5/8 inch (16mm) up to 6 ft. (2m) in diameter. Pipe entries are made through drip-legs, flanges and rolled valves in the piping. Drip-legs should have a minimum of 2 inch (50mm) ID entries to allow the Aqua Milling ® tool to enter the piping.

Utilizing a single access point, piping up to 1000 ft. (305m) in length can be cleaned. Aqua Milling® can negotiate multiple directional changes in the line, without the need for costly pipe work dismantling. For precision control of all parameters, such as cutting speed and width of spiral track, the “in-house” developed Hydraulic Feed Unit guarantees total surface coverage, eliminating the human factor.

The Aqua Milling® Process can commence independent of the construction progress and allows for increased construction scheduling flexibility. Plant construction work can resume within 20 ft. (6m) without interference. Debris and H2O can be contained, allowing the water to be recycled.
